Sling Experience is historically held the second week of April each year. This year for 2026 will be at Traders Village, 7979 N Eldridge Pkwy, Houston, TX 77041, starting at 10am Thursday April 9^th,2026 till 4pm on Sunday April 12^th, 2026.

Personal tent space can be purchased on our tickets page. Please see an event coordinator upon arrival to check in and secure your location for the remainder of the event. (Please arrive either Thursday or Friday, If you arrive on Saturday with personal Tent, please understand location will be limited based on space and logistics) 

Personal tents cannot have branding and be used to promote any businesses, without authorization.

Personal tents must be heavily secured with weights or water barrels, subject to inspection by our team, and in case of high winds, you may be asked to take down or lower your tent for safety reasons. 

We hire security guards or Houston Police to be onsite every evening and during our busy day times. 

Traders Village has posted notice of 30.05 30.06 and 30.07 Texas gun laws. 

Traders Village has an amusement park and this notice of firearms allowed.

This Venue Traders Village has a strict policy of no pets. 

Yes we have onsite Truck /Trailer and RV Parking space available for purchase. Space is limited so arrive early on Thursday or Friday. When you arrive a Sling Experience staff will help direct you to where the designated area is. 

Please note arriving while Audio competition is being conducted may be logistically the hardest time to arrive. Please plan ahead and be patient with us we will work with you.

Group Rides (day, night, urban, scenic), Audio Competition, Lighting Competition, Donut Competition, Exhaust Competition, Slingshot Push Drag Race, Slingshot DJ Battle, Food Vendors, Parties, Giveaways, Awards, Raffles, Charity  Activities and donations for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, Slinging Out Hunger, and some of the most amazing Slingshots and owners from around the country!

Sling Experience is a rain or shine event, and the event will go on.  Specific rides and competitions may be postponed, shortened, or rescheduled if needed.  There are several covered airport parking lots nearby for a small daily fee that can be used if needed.  All purchases are non-refundable.

Sling Experience does have a fee to help support the costs to put on an event of this scale. We have affordable options starting at only $20 for the full 4 day event. Additionally we have  VIP, Personal Tents, and Premium Parking packages for parking in the event space and merchandise is also available for purchase.  Most competitions may have a registration fee.  (Note, during our busy times on Friday and Saturday, the event space may fill up to capacity.  Available Slingshot parking space is on a first come first serve basis other than the reserved VIP and exhibitor spaces.)

We also an app called JoinR to track our major rides.  You can download the app and use the code “sling-event” to join our group.  All participants are encouraged to sign in and join, as it helps see where groups of Slingshots are on a map.  We also provide a write up with “rally points” for each major ride on our social media pages.

Yes!  We always have several great food options available on site.  The host hotel will also have free breakfast from 6:30 to 9:30 am for hotel guests each day.  We also often give away free food during special times or promotions, so be on the lookout!

The Market at Traders Village has onsite bars for your adult beverages.
Please be safe, responsible, and do not drink and drive.

All  3 Wheels are now welcome as we have the additional space with out new location. Traders Village Houston.  No matter if you are riding a Slingshot, Ryker, Spyder, Trex, Vanderhall or other 3 wheel or 2 wheel. You are welcomed into the premium Parking with applicable ticket for Premium Parking. 

Other Vehicles park in the onsite spectator parking which is $6 per day, paid at the entrance gate before you park. 

We have onsite space for RVs at Sling Experience for a fee which is the same as the Truck/Trailer parking fee. This designated RV parking spaces are without traditional hook ups. Keep in mind, this space if for parking. You do not get additional space to set up camp. Other Trucks/Trailers/RVs will be parked side by side like parking spaces.

If you want RV hookups. The Traders Village management offers /daily rates starting $50 per day if you need hookups during your stay.  www.tradersvillage.com

Please use the JoinR App search sling-event to find the Sling Experience Group to track your location and track our location for every ride. It allows the group to see where other riders are on a map, and chat with each other if needed.

Keep it tight. Leave a safe distance between you and the vehicle in front of you, but very large gaps will break up the group.

For our larger rides, we will provide maps and written details with rally points and times. Go to the Main Tent for more details.

We try our best to stay on time, and we’ll be taking it pretty slow.

Please fall to the back of the line if you need to break of from the group, to ensure no one accidentally follows you.

Please try to arrive at the event with a full tank before going on any major rides. Some rides may travel up to 60 miles before the first gas station stop, plan accordingly.

Look out for hand signals while riding, to merge into one lane or split into two or more lanes. Pass the hand signal back behind you. Spreading out into multiple lanes allows us to stay closer together as a group and get more people through a light.

When we pause or slow down on a street, please try to keep a lane open to allow other vehicles or our ride captains to pass. Usually if we stop or slow down on a street we are not staying very long, so please stay in or near your vehicles.

If someone is blocking traffic for you, please try to keep it moving quickly. Please try your best to stay alert and obey all traffic laws. Sling Safely.

We highly encourage all competitors to register in advance at www.slingexperience.org/competitions/. Advanced registration helps us with our event planning and scheduling.   Scroll down to the registration link for each competition to register.  You may also register in person, however registration prices may increase on-site.  Be sure to read the rules and write-up for each competition, to know where you need to be and when.
